According to 2012 U.S. Census Bureau statistics, the state of New Jersey has experienced the lowest divorce rate, and New York, Connecticut, Delaware, and Massachusetts are at the bottom as far as lowest rates of divorce. The eastern section of the United States generally has seen a divorce rate lower than 12% last year. On the other hand, these same U.S. Census Bureau statistics have Nevada as the state with the highest divorce rate at 14.7%. Also, the Census reported that the states of Wyoming, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee all have rates of divorce over 13.0%.
