The defense completed closing arguments today in the 2nd degree murder trial of George Zimmerman and the case has now gone to the jury. The case will be pivotal on the question of self defense and Florida's stand your ground laws. George Zimmermans defense claims that he acted in self defense and was attacked by an unarmed teen. The prosecution claims that Zimmerman acted with malice and was angry and hunted down the unarmed teen and shot him for no reason. The forensic eidence supported the fact that Zimmerman was on the ground and Martin was on top of Zimmerman at the time the shot was fired. Stay tuned for the verdict.
